Julie Belmont is an author, artist, and founder of Night Raven Publishing. Her mysteries, thrillers, speculative fiction, and nonfiction draw upon her experience conducting private investigations and her lifelong interest in criminal investigation and psychology. Her work in interviewing, research, and evidence documentation brings authenticity and careful detail to her stories. Julie is the author of the Bad Blood in the Bayou mystery series, featuring former forensic photographer Jessica Martin, and The Phantom Code, a techno-thriller exploring artificial intelligence and human creativity. She has also written several nonfiction books for writers. Born in Caracas and raised in Madrid, Julie later lived in Canada before settling in Southern California. She designs her own covers and promotional artwork and encourages writers to embrace new technology while remaining true to their creative voices. She believes the best mysteries aren’t invented—they’re discovered, one clue at a time.
