Biography
Dark Places of the Earth: The Voyage of the Slave Ship Antelope was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize in History. Neutrality Act, a historical noir set in World War Two Atlanta, was a finalist for the Florida Writers Association Royal Palm. The Slaver’s Apprentice won a Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Award in manuscript. A historian and novelist, Bryant holds both a J.D. and a Ph.D., and is a well-known academic historian. He loves hiking, kayaking, sailing, and traveling. “One day I’ll figure out how to balance it all,” he says. He and his wife live in northeast Florida.
