Biography

Alex Spear is a British crime novelist whose work blends mystery, atmosphere, and subtle touches of the uncanny. She has lived in both the UK and the United States, drawing particular inspiration from the layered history and folklore of New Orleans. Her novels often center complex women, LGBTQI and small-town intimate communities, and the tensions that simmer beneath seemingly ordinary lives. In addition to writing fiction, Alex is a visual artist and digital marketing professional, bringing a strong sense of place and visual detail to her storytelling. She is the author of multiple novels and is currently developing new mystery projects while continuing her work in the arts.
