Biography
Stephanie Wilson Medlock is the author of two magical realism mysteries, The Lives of Things, and an Improbable Companion. A sequel to The Lives of Things is planned for 2026.
Born in Chicago, she received her journaloism degree from Northwestern University and worked as a journalist in Connecticut and inthe Chicago area. Subsequently, Stephanie joined the University of Chicago in theGraham School of GeneralStudies where she designed courses in publishing, editing, museum publishing, medical editing and more. Shej is also an experienced storyteller. Stephanie started the San Miguel de Allende International Storytelling Festival in 2013, and has worked on storytelling presentations in San MIguel since then. She perforrms stories in the Hudson Valley,New York. Stephanie divides her time between New York and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
