Miriam Fay was born and raised in New Orleans, steeped in the mysticism of her Jewish mother and the spiritual traditions of her Irish Catholic father. A retired nurse with 30+ years of experience, she also holds degrees in Creative Writing and Theatre and is currently studying psychology. Her writing blends Southern storytelling, folk wisdom, and spiritual practice—rooted in Hoodoo, ghost hunting, and the deep magic of playing cards. Through her Hoodoo Crossroads Series, she shares knowledge of cartomancy, conjure, and spirit communication. Her upcoming Murder and Mojo Cozy Mystery Series brings these elements into mystery fiction, where ghosts don’t always rest and Hoodoo might just crack the case. When she’s not writing, she’s chasing spirits, sipping chicory coffee, or tucking tricks into everyday life—just in case the dead have something left to say.
