Biography
Kimberly Parr’s interest in true crime was sparked in childhood by the disappearance of two young sisters from her hometown of Wheaton, Maryland. Following a long career writing advertising copy and articles for publications ranging from Equine Journal to Roofing Magazine, she now writes almost exclusively about unsolved crimes at least 25 years old. Her work can be found on many online platforms, including her website, IceColdCases.com, where she identifies herself as, "Civil Servant by day. Crime Writer by Night." Kimberly is currently writing about a little-known tragedy that took place long ago on the Erie Canal; a preview of her book was recently published in 28 Voices: A Nonfiction Anthology, Vol. 1 (2024, Voices Heard Publishing). She lives in Central New York with three generations of family members, and two feisty terriers.
