Craft
I'll be happy to participate in panel discussions about craft, or read my stories. I've also taught fiction writing and led workshops.
A farm girl at heart, Sarah P. Blanchard's writing is strongly influenced by rural life and the natural world. She holds a BA in English and an MBA in marketing, and has taught writing and business communications. After spending several years in Hawaii and western North Carolina, she has returned home to live in northeastern Connecticut. She's been a volunteer firefighter, radio news anchor, magazine editor, website developer, horse trainer, and facilities supervisor for an astronomy observatory. She taught fiction writing at the University of North Carolina-Asheville and has led many writing workshops. She has published two novels: the new-adult suspense Drawn from Life (2024), and the psychological thriller Grabtown (2025). She was a 2025 Pushcart Prize nominee; a 2021 Doris Betts Fiction Award finalist; and a 2024 Porch Prize finalist for her short fiction.
