Dr. Teresa Crowe is a professor, clinical social worker, researcher, and writer specializing in social work for deaf and hard-of-hearing populations at Gallaudet University. Dr. Crowe earned her MFA from Goucher College, MSW from Gallaudet University, and PhD from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Her research and writing are marked by a deep commitment to better understanding and addressing the unique experiences and mental health needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Dr. Crowe is the author of a true crime book, “Death Space: The True Story of A Deaf Serial Killer at Gallaudet University,” and four companion creative non-fiction books as part of the “Humans In Progress Series.” A deep dedication to her field marks her career as an academic and author, showcasing her understanding of the complexities of human behavior and mental health and its significant impact on the lives of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
