Biography

While people are running away from rage and violence, Susan runs into the chaos; identifying and de-escalating rage and addressing the initial layers of trauma. Her goal is to avert tragedy. Susan Magestro is a criminologist, key note speaker, author, university instructor, teacher, and consultant. Her thirty years of expertise has allowed her to develop techniques and strategies she shares with professionals in the fields of education, counseling, social work, law enforcement and corrections, medicine, mental health and law. Her work has taken her into schools, medical and mental health facilities, prisons, and people’s homes. Magestro’s expertise includes extreme domestic violence (children trying to kill their parents), school violence, cyber-bullying, rage and trauma. Her work has spanned over several decades. Susan works with young people, adults and families during the worst days of their lives.
