Biography

I am the former Artistic Director of the Young Actors Theatre in Reston, Virginia, in suburban Washington, D.C., where I taught, direct, and wrote plays for young performers, ages 7–16. My theatre work earned me the 2022 ArtsFairfax Achievement Award for outstanding career achievement and lasting contributions to the community. My writing earned me recognition as a 2023 Claymore Award finalist. and a Claymore Award winner in 2024. I am also a member of SCBWI, Virginia Writers Club, and The Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and a proud citizen of the Chickasaw Nation..
