I've presented on "What Inspires my Writing" - my expertise, my life overseas, my travels, my photos, and the people I've met along the way. I've also used my science and biotech expertise in writing my bioterror, mystery and crime thrillers. I've given numerous talks and presentations to libraries and organizations - many fun, lively, and entertaining talks and others with more serious topics. At university seminars, I presented "Bio-crime in Fiction" and "Microbial Forensics" at a URI Forensic Science seminar.

Biography

Joann Mead has lived in four countries ranging from A to Z: America, London, England, Moscow, Russia (back in the USSR), and Zimbabwe, Africa. She is an author, educator, researcher, and futurist. Her written works include bioterror thrillers, medical mysteries, crime novels, short stories, screenplays, magazine articles, and publications in medical journals on disasters and weapons of mass destruction. Her writing is inspired by the places she’s lived and traveled.
