Biography

Born in Moldova, Izolda Trakhtenberg is a playwright, author, musician, editor, and podcaster. Immigrating to the USA with her family as a young child, she grew up in Michigan and later graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English. Her play, A Slice of Democracy, was produced by Nomad Theatre for their The Polling Place Theatre Festival. Her play, Expiration Date was a semi-finalist in the Off Broad Street Play Festival. She has released nine books, including Die by the Sword from the Cassie Belmont Tarot Reader Mysteries. Izolda hosts the popular Your Creative Mind Podcast. Her mystery short story, The Celestial Queen, appeared in the New York Sisters in Crime Anthology, New York State of Crime. She also contributed two stories to the first Midlife On Fire anthology. Additionally, she founded and manages Vegan Writers of NYC, which released their first anthology, In a New York Minute, in 2023. Izolda lives and writes in Brooklyn, NY. https://IzoldaTAuthor.com.
