Biography
Though born in Illinois, as a military dependent, Michelle moved between San Diego, California and Charleston, South Carolina. She enrolled at the University of California Santa Cruz before attending Michigan State University to complete a pediatric residency program. After over twenty years in clinical medicine, Michelle now works as a medical consultant. As a member of Crime Writers of Color, Sisters in Crime Capitol Crimes, Authors Guild, ALLi, and Science Fiction Writers of America, her writing interests cover many genres—mystery, paranormal, and thrillers.
In 2025, Michelle won the Next Generation short story award for The Riddle Inheritance. That same year, she received Nashville Silver Falchion Judge’s Top Picks in the cozy mystery category for Murder Between Neighbors. If not writing, she will be outside gardening or bicycling.
