Biography
Margot Douaihy, PhD, lives in Northampton, MA, and is an assistant professor of Creative Writing at Emerson College. She is the author of the queer crime novel Scorched Grace (Gillian Flynn Books), which was named a best crime novel of 2023 by The New York Times, The Guardian, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, BookPage, and Marie Claire. Margot also won the Best Author of 2023 award from Boston Magazine. Her poetry collections with Clemson University Press include Bandit/Queen: The Runaway Story of Belle Starr (2022), Scranton Lace, (2018), and Girls Like You (2015), which was a Lambda Literary Finalist. Her work has been featured in Colorado Review, Florida Review, North American Review, PBS NewsHour, Portland Review, The South Carolina Review, The Wisconsin Review, and elsewhere.
