Chris Norbury is the award-winning author of the mystery-suspense-thrillers Straight River, Castle Danger, and Dangerous Straits. The stories feature Matt Lanier, a southern Minnesota farm-kid-turned-professional-musician. His middle-class world is turned upside down when he uncovers a conspiracy led by a group of powerful, ambitious, violent men. He grew up in the Twin Cities and earned a B.S. in Music Education at the University of Minnesota. Chris's newest novel, Little Mountain, Big Trouble, was published in 2023. It's a heartwarming coming-of-age adventure whose main character is a boy in the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program who goes on the adventure of his young life with his Big Brother. Written for middle-grade readers, older readers can also enjoy Little Mountain, Big Trouble. Chris donates a portion of all book sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota. Chris is a member of both the Twin Cities and national chapters of Sisters in Crime.
