Biography

Born in Morocco, Ruth Knafo Setton is the author of the novels, The Road to Fez and the forthcoming Zigzag Girl. A multi-genre author, her award-winning fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry have been published in many journals and anthologies. Zigzag Girl won the Grand Prize in the ScreenCraft Cinematic Book Competition, and First Prize in the Daphne Awards. Her screenplays have received honors from the Austin Film Festival, Sundance Screenwriters’ Lab, and Page International Screenwriting Awards. She gives frequent writing workshops, and she’s working on a new novel.
