Middle Grade, Spy/Espionage, Thriller, Young Adult
From the time Lauri found the shelf of mystery books in her elementary school library, she knew she was destined to be a detective, a spy, or even better, a mystery writer. She spent her youth daydreaming—imagining that the twining branches of the family cherry tree harbored a secret dead drop frequented by international spies or the ticking cuckoo clock was a bomb she needed to disarm. Fast forward a few decades. Now with three kids, a mustang-obsessed husband, and an energetic German Shepherd, Lauri’s stealthy past has been abandoned for a boisterous life on Florida’s white beaches. She frequently retreats into her creative haven where she lives vicariously through her characters. Lauri has a Bachelor’s degree in Theoretical Mathematics with a concentration in cryptology. Diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, she enjoys approaching life with a sense of chaotic enthusiasm.
