Lori L. Lake is the author of 14 novels, six of which are crime fiction focused on lesbian police officers. Her short work is featured in over a dozen anthologies including: Once Upon a Crime; The Silence of the Loons; Dark Side of the Loon; and Lesbians on the Loose: Crime Writers on the Lam. Lori was a small press publisher for eight years, has frequently taught the craft of writing, and continues to edit and assist other authors. A Minnesotan for 26 years, Lori now lives with her partner in Oregon at the Fortress of Solitude where she tries to write daily. Or weekly. Or whenever possible. She has nearly completed a collection of short stories about revenge and retribution tentatively titled Best Served Cold, which she hopes will see the light of day before the end of 2026.
