Heather Ames has been agented twice, was a finalist in Romance Writers of America's prestigious Golden Heart competition with a novel that was ultimately deemed "too scary for our readers" by an industry editor-in-chief, and segued into writing, producting and editing two documentaries, one of which was nominated for an award, While continuing to work full-time in the healthcare industry. She achieved small-press publication of three novels before an orphaned series forced into the world of indie publishing. She now writes two mystery series (one mainstream, the other cozy with a paranormal twist,) standalone suspense and romantic suspense. She's a member of NIWA (Northwest Independent Writers Association) as well as the secretary and membership chair for Portland, Oregon's Harriet Vane Chapter of Sisters in Crime. A firm believer in marketing as well as writing and publishing, she can be found in her own booth at multiple events annually throughout the Willamette Valley and is available to share her experiences and expertise.

Biography

Heather Ames writes two mystery/suspense series (one with a paranormal twist,) standalone suspense and romantic suspense. When she’s not writing, she’s either thinking up new plots, traveling the world, or dreaming up new adventures.
