Pam Barnsley is a former newspaper journalist and snowboard instructor whose work has appeared in magazines, ad copy, and on CBC television and radio. Harbour Publishing published her non-fiction book Hiking Trails of the Sunshine Coast. Her crime novel The River Cage is set in Whistler in the world of Paralympic athletes, whitewater kayakers, and mountain bikers. An earlier version of this novel was shortlisted for the Crime Writers of Canada Best Unpublished Novel. Her short crime stories have appeared in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine and elsewhere. Pam lives with her multi-generational family in Whistler and Vancouver Island, BC. When she’s not working on the next in the detective Swift series, Bed of Lies, Pam enjoys wingboarding, snowboarding, and growing whatever the garden leprechauns allow.
