My most recent class was on using food in writing--similar to article I wrote for Janet Rudolph. Gave a talk on surreal in writing last week, Will be discussing Louis May Alcott's lesser known works, including her short mysteries in upcoming class , and have given giving a class in Ekphrastic Poetry and Food and mysteries with food
Joan Leotta plays with words on page and stage. She performs and writes tales of food, family, and strong women. Internationally published as an essayist, poet, short story writer, and novelist. She's been nominated twice for Pushcart Awards and twice for Best of the Net. She was 2022 runner-up in the Robert Frost Competition and has been Poet of the Week on Poetry Super Highway. Her essays, poems, and fiction appear in Ekphrastic Review, Verse Virtual, Gargoyle, Highland Park Poetry, Silver Birch, Yellow Mama, Mystery Tribune, One Art, Ovunquesiamo, MacQueen’s Quinterly, Lothlorien Poetry Journal, Impspired, and others.
