Biography
J. E. (Janet) Irvin is a career educator, author, and poet. She holds a BA in Spanish and English from Ohio University, an MsEd from the University of Dayton, and an MA in Spanish from the University of Cincinnati. Irvin is the award-winning author of six mystery/thriller novels. Her shorter works have appeared in a variety of print and online publications, including Hawaii Pacific Review, Creosote, The Raven’s Perch, Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, and Literary Mama. Irvin is a member of Sisters in Crime, Central Ohio Fiction Writers, and Buckeye Crime Writers. Irvin’s debut novel, The Dark End of The Rainbow, won the Jeremiah Healey Mystery Fiction Contest. The Strange Disappearance of Rose Stone won the Whodunit (the renamed Healey) Award, making her the only two-time winner of the prize. Rose Stone was also a finalist in the 2020 Silver Falchion Contest sponsored by KillerNashville.
